CATERING
POLICIES
Thank you for booking your
event with us. In order to serve our customers
in the most professional manner, clear
communication of our company policy is very
important. Please keep in mind the following
points.
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations
are planned as part of the development of the
Event plans. At least one of these must be at the Event site.
We will be available for as many consultations
as it takes to insure that your event goes off without a hitch
and to answer all questions needed to be answered regarding
the Event.
SET-UP
/ BREAKDOWN
We
do not include table and chair set-up in our
pricing. If you need us to provide set-up, breakdown or
clean-up of your Event site, we will be happy to
provide this service for you at the price of
$1.00 per person. Set-up of double chair events which require
chair movement from ceremony to reception area
or sites with extra clean-up will be charged
extra for the labor. Pricing is based on ground
level locations; or an elevator is to be
provided. We begin to pack up during the dining
phase of your event. Once we move beyond the
dining phase we will leave certain leftover
items on the buffet tables that you provided for
the buffet. We will be glad to order the 8'
tables (4) for you.
DEPOSITS
& CANCELLATIONS
We
do not "pencil-in" bookings. When you
are ready to book our services, we require a
deposit of 25% of initial bill to hold the date.
Dates are booked on a deposit only basis and not
on the fact that we have been discussing your
event. This deposit will be applied toward your
final bill ( which will include the service
fees, taxes, delivery charges and gratuity ).
Short notice catering requests must be paid in
full prior to the request date. In
the event that your event should cancel for any
reason, your deposit or short notice invoice is nonrefundable.
LEFTOVER
FOODS
For
your safety and the safety of our guests, we do
not allow potentially hazardous foods to remain
in service beyond two hours. We will take care
of proper disposal. In addition, prepared foods
that are not consumed at a catering event may
not be removed from the serving area unless
previously confirmed. Our " All you can
Eat" Menus are just that and are not
intended for take home or carryout in addition
to the Buffet.
TOTAL
GUEST COUNT
We
allow short notice increases to your total guest
count, however any reductions to your total
guest count must be made 7 days prior to the
scheduled event.
PAYMENT
All
payments are due, in full, 7 days prior to the day of the
event. The invoice for your event will show a
Balance Due, which will reflect any payments or
deposits that have been applied to your Grand
Total. Payment can be made in the form of cash,
check, credit card or money order. In the event
that collection costs become necessary, any
costs incurred regarding the collection of your
debt will be added to the total amount due. In
the event any amount due hereunder is not paid
when due and Convenient Chef engages an attorney
for collection purposes, or in connection with
any bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings,
whether or not litigation is commenced, then you
shall pay Convenient Chef its attorney’s fees
(including your attorney's fees), All Convenient
Chef expenses and court costs in addition to the
full amount due hereunder. In the event any
amount due hereunder is not paid when due, you
shall pay Convenient Chef interest on said
amount at the rate of 18% per annum.
TAXES
/ GRATUITY
Tax exempt organizations are
responsible for providing appropriate
documentation prior to the event. Call us Old Fashioned, but we believe that a Gratuity should not be mandatory. Therefore, we never include a Gratuity on the bill until instructed to do so by the client. Our
Onsite Staff and our Behind the Scenes Staff Gratefully
appreciate your acknowledgement. When a gratuity is paid to
us, it is passed on to every one of our service
personnel whether they where present at the
function or worked, unseen, equally as hard in
the days prior to the event.
LIABILITY
Convenient
Chef
is not responsible for
damaged or lost merchandise or articles left or
sent, prior to, during, or following an event.
Convenient Chef will do everything it can to
accommodate any delays at the request of the
host or guests representing the host for any
reason but Convenient Chef cannot be held
responsible for the outcome of such delays.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION
So
that Convenient
Chef
does not risk endangering the integrity of the
event or persons involved, we require that all
locations must meet the health code regulations
needed in order to serve food.
Convenient
Chef
cannot be responsible for the quality of food if
your event does not begin at the specified time
or goes beyond the 1 1/2 hour buffet service
time, unless prior arrangements have been made
with us. Convenient Chef will do all it can within
it's power to maintain the integrity of the food
and you will assume all risks for any delays for
any reason. Additional labor charges may apply.
